Am I the only one who can’t believe it’s already May?
Where the hell did April go?
It’s been an insane couple of weeks for me. I don’t think I’ve ever been so busy with work, life, and photography simultaneously.
I had four weekends without something photography related between March and May 1st.
I had a three week stretch of mostly 10-12 hour days at my office to complete a series of mechanical tests for a client who was racing to a deadline.
I had an apartment figured out, and then promptly had to find a new place in the span of a week when my (then) future roommate bailed two weeks after the renewal deadline passed. All this mere days before I jumped on a boat for a week long cruise wedding in the Bahamas.
I’m exhausted, but I feel incredibly accomplished.
I read four novels - three of them focused on self improvement.
I shot my first commercial job for a local hair salon.
I attended a photography workshop that totally changed my mindset regarding business process and customer experience.
I forced myself to try new things with my photography and learned that saying, “Let’s try something stupid,” is an opportunity for something amazing to happen.
I even explored the city a bit and found some great new coffee shops, parks, hangouts, restaurants, and sights.
I’ll resume my usual blog posts about recent sessions (the hair salon, two weddings, and maybe some other small bits) when I’ve had a good bottle of wine and some time to breathe after packing up my belongings and moving at the end of this month; all while keeping my camera shutter firing away.
Until then, here are some shots from a Scavenger Hunt I participated in from December. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed shooting them.
