About 9 months ago, I wrote a post about diving into the world of wedding photography. I was terrified, nervous, anxious, doubting, and all other kinds of adjectives to describe how uncomfortable I was with it. However, I decided to suck it up and start exploring this niche, mainly because I needed experience before taking pictures of my cousin’s wedding. This cousin is the daughter of my professional photographer Uncle, Charles Glatzer. UC (as I call him) got his start shooting weddings in the New York area some many years ago; so everyone already knew he was going to be incredibly critical of whatever photographer would be shooting her wedding. As it happens, I didn’t ask to shoot my cousin’s wedding, I was told by UC that I’d be doing it. No pressure, right? Well, since that time I’ve done a proposal shoot, a pseudo engagement shoot, and two weddings. At this point, I can honestly say that I’m really enjoying it. My business opportunities are expanding, I’m learning a lot more about photography as a whole, and I’m meeting lots of great people. Let’s see how it continues! But first, pictures from the latest wedding! Big thanks again to Jamie Howell for inviting me to shoot with him. I was put on photobooth duties for this wedding so my images from the reception are sparse; however, the pictures from the booth are hilarious and I had a blast taking them! If only I had gotten the files! Oh well!
